We hire when we meet the right person

No headcount plan, no closing date, no queue. Every role below is open right now
Before you apply

What this place is actually like

Worth being straight about, because a job advert that describes somewhere nobody recognises wastes everyone’s time

Remote and distributed

Across time zones, so work carries on while part of the team sleeps. It also means we weight written communication as heavily as technical skill — a brilliant engineer who can’t explain a decision in writing creates more work than they remove.

Mixed seniority, on purpose

Associate engineers work alongside people who have done it before, not in a separate pool. A team made entirely of senior people stops learning; one made entirely of juniors ships things nobody checked.

Roles overlap

Several people here manage projects and build or write. If you want a narrow lane and a clean handoff at the edge of it, this will frustrate you.

Compliance is real here

We work with healthcare and financial clients, so “can we do this” is a genuine question with a genuine answer. If rules irritate you as a matter of principle, this is the wrong shop.

We say what isn’t working

To clients, in the meeting. Internally too. That’s comfortable if you’d rather hear it early and uncomfortable if you’d rather not hear it at all.

Staying current is the job

Ad policy, privacy law and search behaviour change constantly. Keeping up is treated as work rather than as homework you do at the weekend.

The process

Three steps, no multi-day unpaid project

  • A conversation. What you’ve built, what you want to do more of, what you’d rather never do again.
  • A short practical exercise related to the actual work. Paid where it takes real time. We don’t set week-long take-homes and we don’t use them as free labour.
  • A conversation with the people you’d work alongside. Two-way — you should be interviewing us as well.
If the timing is wrong we’ll say so rather than going quiet. Being left waiting is the most common complaint about hiring and it’s entirely avoidable.
Two colleagues in conversation during an interview
You should finish the process knowing whether you want the job, not just whether you got it.

Good questions

Hiring, answered

Are these roles actually open?

Open on a rolling basis, which is a real answer rather than a hedge. We hire when the right person appears rather than against a headcount plan — so no closing date and no queue. If your application is strong and the timing is wrong, we’ll say that rather than leaving you waiting.

Is the work remote?

Yes. The team is distributed across time zones, which is why written communication is weighted as heavily as technical skill. An excellent engineer who can’t explain a decision in writing creates more work than they remove in a remote team.

What does the process look like?

An initial conversation, a short practical exercise related to the real work, and a conversation with the people you’d work alongside. The exercise is paid where it takes real time. We don’t run multi-day unpaid take-home projects.

Do I need a degree?

No. Several of the team hold an MCA or equivalent and several don’t. We look at what you’ve built, how you think about problems, and whether you can explain both. A repository or a written explanation beats a qualification list.

Can I apply while still studying?

Yes. We hire at associate level alongside senior people rather than keeping juniors in a separate pool, and members of the current team joined while completing their studies. Just say what you’re studying and how much time you have.

What if my role isn’t listed?

Apply anyway and say what you do. The roles listed reflect where the work usually is, not the limits of what we’d consider. A speculative application that clearly explains the value you’d add gets read.
